The Research

Personally, this was far and away the most important part of the exhibition. The surveillance, the performance, the art, and everything helped make the exhibition what it was, but I ultimately wanted to educate the public about the U.S. extraordinary rendition program. I had a team of people, led by researcher Carol Zuegner, help create booklets that the public could take with them in order to learn about the rendition program. I gave Justin full creative license to do what he wanted to do with it, beyond the simple instructions that I wanted it to be plain and filled with facts and diagrams. I absolutely love this.
