I’ve been asked many times why I stopped making art…
and why I don’t take art as seriously as I once did. Essentially, my artistic production tanked in 2015, and although I was able to pull off the second version of MoAH in 2018, I essentially did very little for about a decade. I have a studio, again, and after a huge health scare, I am finally back to creating, and the next installations are scheduled for 2026.
This TED talk explains the reason for that gap in artistic output, although because the talk is short, it is more about grief and loss.
If you know someone that has experienced a profound loss, this talk might be for them. It’s also for the people wondering how to talk with someone else who has experienced a significant loss.
It was difficult for me to do this talk.
