Union cases containing daguerreotype images where widely used during the 1840s and 50s. The cases became popular to protect the easily damaged and valuable daguerreotype plates. Exploring old images throughout the exhibition reveals both treasures and curiosities about a world long past, yet oddly repeating itself.
