Nuclear Dichotomies installation views

My interest in nuclear weapons and testing began as a child, and my obsession ramped up when I lived on the border of Idaho and Washington (the Hanford Nuclear superfund site is nearly Richland, WA) and went… well… nuclear when I moved to Nevada and heard stories about kids who were let out of school to watch nuclear tests.

I read a plethora of books about the testing, I visited the Nevada Test Site, and began making art in response to everything I experienced.

Only one version of this exhibition occurred, but with the current government obsession with restarting testing programs, including China and Russia programs, some of this exhibit is finding its way into the Museum of Alternative History.
