Missing Piece

This is the first time I have shared these images on my website. I took literally tens of thousands of these images. I shared about 1,000 with friends and family via a blog I had for the purpose of keeping my family informed.

Previously, I only shared them locally, on Facebook (hidden or private), or on the blog (long since deleted). However, they eventually became a film, then later a TED talk, and now, a decade after her death, I’ve finally decided they belong on my website – at least for now. A critic once called them "derivative,” since clearly it is not a unique idea. However, it is highly personal, so the criticism cut deep.

If you want to know the story, feel free to watch the TED talk, or watch the film. It was also password protected and hidden for many years, until now.

It is challenging to explain why it is hard for me to share these images, or to include them as “art” on this site.

But here we are.
